The Diaspora BRIDGE Platform will formally premiere on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the State House in Abuja, according to the Federal Ministry of Education. The platform aims to connect Nigerian academics and professionals residing abroad with the nation’s research organizations and higher education institutions.

Vice President Kashim Shettima and Education Minister Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa will lead the launch, which is a significant step toward fostering research, innovation, and international academic cooperation.
Diaspora experts can register, share their knowledge, and collaborate with Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and educational institutions through Diaspora BRIDGE, which stands for Bridging Research, Innovation, Development, and Global Engagement. Additionally, local organizations can express their needs, opening the door for organized and demand-driven collaborations.
By integrating with the government’s TERAS system, the portal will improve project tracking, academic matching, and transparency. Additionally, it has contemporary virtual collaboration technologies to guarantee meaningful participation.
