The Westpac Young Technologists Scholarship is designed to support talented and diverse high school graduates who are passionate about technology and its potential to create positive change in Australia. Alongside financial support, recipients join the Westpac 100 Scholars Network, gaining lifelong access to networking, leadership development, mentoring, and international opportunities.

- IN01 Bachelor of Information Technology
- IN05 Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments
- DS01 Bachelor of Data Science
- Double degrees including one of the above
The type:
- Undergraduate scholarship (for future students)
Who is eligible to apply?
Applicants must:
- Be graduating from Year 12 (or a gap year) in 2025
- Be starting university for the first time in 2026
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Have achieved an ATAR of 90.0+ (or IB equivalent) (ATAR adjustments apply)
- Have QUT listed as their first preference in their QTAC application
How Do They Choose Applicants?
Selection is based on:
- Academic performance
- Gender and diversity profile (equity considered)
- Application responses (passion, interests, goals in technology)
- Interview (if shortlisted)
Note: At least 50% of interviewees will identify as women.

- Australia only (citizens or permanent residents).
Where will the prize be accepted?
- Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia
How Many Honors?
- Limited number awarded each year. (Highly competitive process with only top-ranked applicants selected).

Recipients will receive:
- Up to $20,000 flexible funding (includes $15,000 scholar grant + $5,000 Disruptive Leaders Program support)
- A five-day Disruptive Leaders Program in Singapore
- Attendance at the Westpac Scholars Summit in Sydney
- Lifelong membership of the Westpac 100 Scholars Network
- Automatic membership to QUT’s College of Excellence
- Access to internships, mentors, leadership training, and exclusive networking opportunities
What’s the Duration of the Award?
- Three years (scholarship funding is $5,000 per year + one-off $5,000 for Singapore program).
How do I Apply?
- Apply through the QUT scholarships portal by 13 January 2026.
- Submit required documents and application questions.
- Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview.
- Offers are made to top-ranked candidates.
