There are two types of scholarships:

1. International English Admission Scholarship – automatic and renewable.

2. International English Academic Excellence Scholarship – competitive, one-time award.

 All undergraduate programs in the following faculties:

• Arts

• Engineering

• Health Sciences

• Science

• Social Sciences

• Telfer School of Management

Who is eligible to apply?

• Be an international student with a valid study permit.

• Be newly admitted for Winter 2026 or later.

• Apply for a program taught in English in the eligible faculties listed above.

• Meet academic average requirements:
  • 80%+ for Admission Scholarship.

  • 90%+ for Academic Excellence Scholarship.

• Be enrolled full-time.

• Must not enrol in the French immersion stream.

• Note: Canadian dual citizens are not eligible.

How Do They Choose Applicants?

• The Admission Scholarship is automatic based on admission average (minimum 80%).

• The Academic Excellence Scholarship (minimum 90% average) is competitive and awarded to the top 100 students.

2. Receive a Student Number from the University of Ottawa.

3. Log into the UOZone portal and upload transcripts and documents.
