π₯ Who is eligible to apply?
To qualify, you must:
- Be a resident citizen of Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zimbabwe
- Have not studied outside Africa before (except for short training β€6 months)
- Hold a Bachelorβs degree (earned before Sept 2024) with excellent grades (typically top 10% of class)
- Have at least 2 years of professional experience relevant to your intended field (excluding unpaid internships)
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to return home and contribute to sustainable development
- Articulate how studying at Manchester will benefit your career and community

π§ How Do They Choose Applicants?
The selection process includes:
- Scholarship application screening
- Invitation to apply for academic admission (do not apply until directed)
- Academic offer required before shortlisting
