The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships 2026 are fully funded scholarships for international researchers and artists to study or conduct research at Switzerland’s top universities and art schools. Funded by the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS), this prestigious program supports academic excellence and international collaboration.
There are four scholarship categories:
- Research Fellowships
- PhD Scholarships
- Postdoctoral Scholarships
- Art Scholarships (for a first Master’s degree in music, fine arts, etc.)
Which fields qualify?
- All academic research fields (sciences, engineering, humanities, etc.) for Research, PhD, and Postdoc categories

Who is eligible to apply?
✅ For Research/PhD/Postdoc Scholarships:

✅ For Art Scholarships:

- Strength and feasibility of the research proposal or artistic portfolio
