Plan International, with over 85 years of experience, works in more than 80 countries to tackle the root causes of challenges affecting girls and vulnerable children. In Nigeria, the organization aims to empower 20 million girls by 2028 through learning, leadership, decision-making, and thriving, supported by knowledge, skills, safe environments, robust systems, and amplified voices.
The “Thrive Programme” is a core initiative that builds the capacity of young people, especially girls, by equipping them with knowledge, skills, values, and opportunities for growth and sustainable futures, while also engaging boys and young men as agents of change. Training within this program covers project management, monitoring and evaluation, mental health, communications, photography, and job application skills.
