Describe the program to me:
This is a fully funded Master’s research assistantship at Montana State University’s Department of Ecology, in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution National Zoo and Fort Belknap Fish and Wildlife Department.
The project investigates genetics and movement ecology of swift foxes reintroduced to Fort Belknap Indian Reservation (2020–2023), focusing on gene flow, kinship, dispersal, and home range patterns. Fieldwork will include camera-based surveys, live-trapping, genetic sampling, and GPS collar deployment.
