The Mills Fabrica is Accepting Proposals for the H&M Foundation Global Change Award 2026 (€200,000 grant)

The Global Change Award (GCA) is an international innovation challenge launched by the H&M Foundation in 2015 to accelerate the shift toward a circular and planet-positive fashion industry. It supports visionary changemakers whose ideas can reshape fashion through sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity.

Which fields qualify?

Applicants must propose innovations in one of the following areas:

  • Sustainable materials and processes (low-energy materials, new/recycled fibers, alternative wet processes, finishes, new construction techniques).
  • Responsible production (renewable energy, efficiency, prediction modeling, on-demand production, waste/zero-waste solutions).
  • Mindful consumption (garment life extension, recycling solutions, circular business models, demand reshaping, garment care).
  • Wildcards (unexpected impactful solutions that address multiple sustainability areas).

  • Innovators, startups, entrepreneurs, and changemakers worldwide.
  • Applicants with scalable, sustainability-driven solutions for the fashion and textile industry.

How do they choose applicants?
Proposals undergo expert screening between December 2025 and March 2026, in collaboration with industry experts, GCA partners, and a specialized panel. Winners are notified in April 2026.

Open to applicants worldwide.

Where will the prize be accepted?
The program includes global exposure, immersive sessions, and culminates in the award ceremony at the Stockholm City Hall, Sweden.

How many honors?
10 winners annually.
