Black Academic Futures Scholarship 2026/2027 at the University of Oxford (Full coverage of course fees)

The Black Academic Futures Scholarships offer UK Black and mixed Black students financial support to pursue graduate study at Oxford.

These awards are made possible by the generous support of funding partners across the University, colleges, and beyond. The scholarships are open to all academic subjects.

Each scholarship will cover your course fees in full and will provide you with a grant for living costs. Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for your course.

The Black Academic Futures Scholarships at the University of Oxford provide full financial support to UK Black and mixed Black students pursuing postgraduate study. Master’s and DPhil (Doctoral) — both full-time and part-time.

  • Applicants of Black or mixed Black ethnicity (African, Caribbean, or other Black backgrounds).
  • Ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom for at least three years before the course start date.
  • Must hold an offer for a taught or research postgraduate degree at Oxford starting in the 2026–2027 academic year.
  • Residence in the UK must not have been primarily for full-time education (except temporary residence abroad for employment).
